Big Country 102.9 WMKC is looking for an energetic Afternoon Drive Personality who also has a passion for music scheduling, station execution and creating a great listening experience.

This is more than just an airshift.

You'll work alongside our programming leadership to help keep WMKC sounding fresh, local and engaging every day while entertaining listeners during afternoon drive.

Responsibilities

• Host an engaging live weekday afternoon show.
• Assist with music scheduling and music logs.
• Help manage clocks, imaging placement and overall station execution.
• Create compelling on-air promotions and listener engagement.
• Create and maintain engaging social media content, including photos, videos, behind-the-scenes content, and listener interaction that extends the station's brand beyond the airwaves.
• Record commercial production and station imaging.
• Voice-track other stations as assigned.
• Work closely with our Operations Team to continually improve the product.
• Assist with contesting and digital content.
• Participate in community events and station appearances.

• Understands music flow and programming fundamentals.
• Can learn or already has experience with music scheduling software.
• Is organized and dependable.
• Brings positive energy every day.
• Wants to grow professionally and be part of a collaborative programming team.
